I love bringing history to life.

I’ve been interested in history since I was a kid and I’ve been participating in living history reenactments since I graduated from college. After being a classroom teacher for 18 years, in 2020 I decided to follow my passion, leave the general classroom environment and start focusing on teaching history using my own collection of uniforms and military artifacts. The rest, as they say, is … history!

Whether it be in-person or through digital teaching platforms, my passion and knowledge of history, combined with my unique presentations, help spark enthusiasm, curiosity, and deep understanding in learners. I love bringing history to life by wearing and showcasing my extensive personal collection of uniforms and other military memorabilia.

I love connecting with students and making learning fun.

One of the best parts of being a teacher or tutor is the connection I get to make with students and their families. I’ve always loved connecting with others and making the learning process fun. Laughter is key and utilizing a sense of humor can make even the most challenging tasks more enjoyable and engaging!

I have tutored students in-person and virtually on a variety of subjects including history, writing, reading and math. I recently completed the Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham 30 Hour Course through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education and am excited to expand into this new area of instruction!
