Many years ago, when I first started teaching, my mom told me about a friend who had her grandfather’s uniform from the First World War. She told me that her friend said, “we don’t really know what to do with it, so we’re thinking about throwing it away. Would your son want it?” Mom said yes, and this picture shows the exact uniform I’m referring to.
